Construction of the Faculty of Nursing, Lithuanian University of Health Sciences
The project involves the construction of a modern 4-storey complex accommodating laboratories and auditoriums located on the grounds of Kaunas Clinics at Eivenių Street in Kaunas.
The building has an organic shape to match the configuration of the site. The cladding materials include clinker tiles selected to match the buildings of the clinics. The building covers an area of approximately 6,000 sq. metres.
Since the whole complex is defined by verticals, they are also reflected in the building under construction. The BAUT fixing system was used in order to fulfil the architectural design of the building. The façade was divided into separate sections. Rows of brackets were installed on the load-bearing structures. They were covered with decorative brickwork.
Combining competences and modern infrastructure under one roof, the facility will produce top specialists in nursing and rehabilitation and will offer infrastructure required for the development of fundamental and applied research as well as projects commissioned by corporate and public sectors.
